  • WorkOS Radar is a basic device fingerprinting and abuse detection bundled with WorkOS AuthKit. Its documented detections cover the auth funnel: bots, brute force, impossible travel, repeat signups, stale accounts, and unrecognized devices.
  • The signals stop at the attempt: is this login automated, is this signup repeated. Nothing tells you whether the user behind it is trustworthy, or should be allowed to take a specific action. And if your auth isn't on the WorkOS platform, the signals don't apply at all.
  • Rupt is a full fraud engine. It includes fingerprinting, email and phone intelligence, a rules engine, hosted challenges, and an AI agent that investigates accounts and monitors for new patterns.
  • Radar's first 1,000 checks are free, then $0.002 per check, the cheapest per-check price among the tools we compare. Rupt is $99 a month with 20,000 evaluations included, then $0.005 each. The difference is how much of the stack is included in that number.

    Keep your auth where it is. Rupt runs next to AuthKit or any custom stack. Load the SDK and call evaluate() on signup, login, and the actions you want covered.

    Read evaluations server-side. One GET request returns the verdict, scored risks, fingerprint, and device ID.

  3. 03

    Recreate your Radar setup as policies. Allow and deny lists carry over, per-detection responses become policy rules with thresholds you actually control, and coverage can extend to checkout and content access.

  4. 04

    Run policies in observe mode against real traffic, compare verdicts with what Radar was flagging, then enforce and turn Radar off.
